The strategic expert advisory committee of HIDC is the decision-making consulting department for the center’s development. It is a strategic, professional consulting platform for helping HIDC promote the development of industrial design in Hebei.
The main duty is to attend meetings of HIDC regularly and provide suggestionson the major strategiesfor the center’s development. Meanwhile, it serves as the evaluation expert of some competitions, such as Hebei International Industrial Design Week and so on, as well as the special design consultant of Hebei and Xiongan. Additionally, it is responsible for providing strategic guidance and consulting.
The honorary president of the strategic expert advisory committee is Luisa Bocchietto who is World Design Organization’s president, and Shirley Feng who is the secretary of National Innovation Industrial Design Alliance is the executive president. The committee is composed of seven domestic and foreign experts in design industry.

Executive Dean of Shenzhen Institute for Innovative DesignLuisa Bocchietto graduated from Architecture at Milan Poly in 1985 with an industrial design dissertation with Architect Marco Zanusuo, at the same time she also obtained the IED (European design college in Milan) certificate. Since then, with her own practice in Italy, she has been working as freelance for both public and private clients.
She carried out some local projects that include development, urban renovation, residential construction, designfurniture, shops, stands design for exhibitions and for international events in Italy and abroad.She designed for many design firms, and her drawings were put into manufacturing and were published on the best magazines. Besides the professional activities, she had always carried out activities to support project quality diffusion. She is a lecturer in many conferences, serving as a co-supervisor of graduation dissertations in industrial design and a jury member in many awards in the world. She was national president of the Association of Industrial Design in Italy. Currently she's President of World Design Organization.(2017-2019).
Michael Young was born in Sunderland, an industrial city in northeastern England in 1966, and graduated from Kingston University in 1992. In the second year after graduation, he founded Michael Young Studio with the aim of providing exclusive, quality design services across an eclectic range of markets- from interior design to technology design.
Over the past 20 years, Michael Young has became one of masters in international design field. The uniqueness of his work originates from his continuous challenge on design type and habit and inherent enthusiasm for technology as well as his strong desire for reinterpreting space in a new way. His design has an unrivalled ability to create an atmosphere that is both dynamic and comfortable, so the work has been widely learned around the world. The studio has established a rich network of relationships with customers all over world.
He is Ph.D of Australia Macquarie University, industrial design master and MBA of Ohio State University. Tung-Jung Sung now is the Dean of School of Design, Taiwan University of Science and Technology. He used to teach and work as department director at industrial design department of Yunlin Science & Technology University and design department of Taiwan Science & Technology University as well as specialize in design management, service design, product design, social innovation and design,etc. He also has a wealth of practical experience to serve in Sanyo Electric, Philips Electronics and other international brands design teams in the early years.
She got a Master’s Degree, and was MBA of Macau University of Science and Technology. Meanwhile, she served as a member of the fifth and sixth CPPCC in Shenzhen and a committee of Shenzhen-Hongkong Design Cooperation Consulting Committee. Additionally, she was the Secretary-General of National Industrial Design Innovation Alliance and Executive Vice President and Secretary-General of Shenzhen Industrial Design Profession Association. She was awarded numerous honors such as Shenzhen Top Ten Outstanding Youth, China Design Contribution Award - Top Ten Outstanding Figures, China Industrial Design Top Ten Outstanding Figures of Promotion, China Creative Industry Top Ten Leading Figures of the Year, Shenzhen Excellent Figure in 2016, China Excellent Innovative Entrepreneurs in 2015, Shenzhen Top Ten Creative Character, “Best Organization Award”in Britain 100% Design Exhibition, The 1st Hundred Outstanding Volunteers in Shenzhen, China Youth Volunteer Contribution Award and Outstanding Female Entrepreneurs in Guangdong Province,etc.
She was acclaimed as "Promoter of Industrial Design" and "the Pusher of Maker" with international views. She was the pioneer of China’s creative industry and a doer for building Shenzhen into a Design City and Maker City. Many world-class Chinese designs were created by Feng, and now she has become a distinguished and widely praised Chinese woman in international industrial design community.
He Renke works as dean and professor at School of Design of Hunan University, guest vice president of China Industrial Design Association, director of the Industrial Design Professional Teaching Subcommittee of the Ministry of Education, director of the Industrial Design Subject Teaching Committee of China Machinery Industry Education Association, member of the Seventh Academic Discipline Assessment Group (Design Team) of the State Academic Degrees Committee, member of the National Science and Technology Project Assessment Team, and leading talent of the first batch of the “Ten Thousand Talent Program” of the Organization Department of the CPC Central Committee Talent, he also acts as chairman of Hunan Industrial Design Association, chairman of Design Artists Association of Hunan Province and director of China-Italy Joint Innovation Center (Hunan). In addition, he serves as chairman and judge of many international design contests including Red Dot, Red Star and Hibiscus, and the 2nd Shenzhen International Industrial Design Exhibition. He is one of the three sponsors of China Design Day and the initiator of the Design Engine Innovation Alliance. Moreover, he won golden award of China Design Contribution of DDF in 2014, and the main research directions include product design theory and methods, design management, design and business model. He is also responsible for drafting China's industrial design discipline construction planning and evaluation system.
Professor Tong Huiming graduated from Central Academy of Arts & Design and obtained Bachelor of Arts in 1983 as well as graduated from Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts with master degree of Arts in 1986. He worked as a master tutor of design school in Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts for many years and was the member of China Artists Association Industrial Design Arts Committee, executive director of China Industrial Design Association, vice president of Guangdong Province Industrial Design Association and director of Guangdong Provincial Higher Industrial Design Teaching Steering Committee.
Since the mid-1980s, he has always devoted himself to the development of industrial design in the Pearl River Delta. He pays attention to the combination of theory and practice and has written & published more than 200 articles and nearly 100 pieces of works.
Lu Xiaobo graduated from Central Academy of Arts & Design from 1978 to 1982 and worked as a teacher, deputy director, director of Central Academy of Arts & Design from 1982 to 2000. He was invited as a visiting fellow in Microsoft Academic of the United States and responsible for designing the surface of palm computer. From 2002-2011, he served as vice president of the Academy of Fine Arts of Tsinghua University and as the director of the Department of Information Art Design, currently Lu Xiaobo is the dean of the Academy of Fine Arts of Tsinghua University, who is also the executive deputy director & doctoral tutor of Tsinghua University Art & Science Research Center. He used to be the deputy director of the steering committee for industrial design teaching of the Ministry of Education of China, in the meantime, he is the national committee member of China Association for Science and Technology, deputy director of Industrial Design Arts Committee of China Artists Association and vice president of China Industrial Design Association.
He studied mathematics at Nankai University from 1994-2001 and graduated from the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2005. During the university, he has successively served as president of the student union and president of the graduate student department of Mathematics Department of Nankai University (predecessor of Mathematics College). In 2005-2008, he worked in Beijing Arrow Software Co., Ltd, engaging in research and sale of FEPG software. Since 2008, he worked in Shenzhen Institutes of Advanced Technology Chinese Academy of Science, serving as CAE Laboratory Director and Director of Engineering Center. In 2011, he also served as director of CAE Research Center of Guangzhou Institute of Advanced Science&Technology of China. From 2013, he was responsible for establishing Shenzhen Institute for Innovative Design as executive director. He was the executive vice president of Shenzhen Young Scienceand Technology Talents Association and a committee of Shenzhen Youth Federation.
