With the theme of “Future design·Smart manufacturing”, the 5th Shenzhen International Industrial Design Fair(SZIDF) began in No. 2 Hall of Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center, the total area of the exhibition is 15000 square meters, and many well-known domestic and foreign designers attended the opening ceremony.

The exhibition focused on latest designs and technologies from fields of smart hardware, wearables, robotics, drones, eSports, VR, makers, accelerators, incubators and other cutting-edge designs, over 7,000 innovative products from China, USA, Germany, Spain, England, Netherlands, Denmark, Japan, Korea, Italy, Canada and other 30 countries had been displayed, and world latest design trend presentation conference also held in this meeting.

The most attractive thing at the ceremony was “Future design·Smart manufacturing︱International industrial design forum”, which gathered Germany iF design award CEO Ralph Wiegmann, Japanese famous architect and industrial designer Masayuki Kurokawa, Netherlands famous non-traditional designer Richard Hutten, British industrial design master Michael Young, and they pointed out the road of future’s smart manufacturing from the perspective of brand design, China’s future, innovation and other global design aspects .

Hebei’s Enterprises · Debut

This year’s highlights was Industry and Information Technology Department of Hebei Province organized 12 innovative enterprise representatives to attend SZIDF. With the theme of “massiness, smart manufacturing, openness and inclusiveness”,  Hebei representatives product design’s advantages were highlighted.

The 12 enterprises includes CRRC TANGSHAN Co., Ltd., JIHUA 3502 PROFESSIONAL GERMENT VO., LTD., Qinhuangdao Glass Industry Research & Design Institute, Great Wall Motor Company Limited, UGE China, Shijiazhuang Nuron Brake Technology Co., Ltd., Tangshan Jingyu Technology Co., Ltd., Hebei IQI Technology Co., LTD., Tangshan Yate Special Vehicles Co., Ltd., Changhong Decoration, HUIDA SANITARY WARE CO., LTD. and Contec Media System Co., Ltd. They brought innovative products and global design boutiques products, such as new high-speed sleeper EMU (model of head car), DX2240 rare earth permanent magnet multi-wire cutter model, Great Wall Motor (model), HDE5001T smart toilet and so on.

The deputy director-general of Industry and Information Technology Department of Hebei Province HaoXiaoli said, on the one hand, organizing enterprises to attend this meeting is to seize the opportunity and to show the merits and present situation & strength of Hebei industrial design, on the other hand, it aims to reinforce the cognition and identification for Hebei industrial design and attract domestic or foreign design companies come Hebei to invest and cooperate.

As it’s first time to appear on the fair, Hebei aimed to demonstrate industrial design and innovative accomplishment, improve the popularity of enterprises & products and build the brand of “Hebei design”, thus to show the feature of “massiness, smart manufacturing, openness and inclusiveness” of Hebei design. The excellent design and innovation competence were shown by 12 innovative products, adding a special style to this annual international industrial design event.

At the same time, she emphatically introduced that provincial finance department will arrange no less than 5oo million Yuan to specialized in supporting the development of industrial design, indicating the vigorously support of industrial design from Hebei province. Deputy director-general HaoXiaoli emphasized that Hebei provides a tremendous market, unprecedented policy support and broad development prospect for domestic and world industrial design, with the full opportunity and opening & co-winning thought, Hebei welcomes well known domestic and foreign design institutions come here to build their business.

Meanwhile, as the engine to push Hebei industrial design development, Hebei Industrial Design Innovation Center(HIDC) also appeared on this meeting. Feng Changhong, director general of Hebei Industrial Design Innovation Center, gave a brief introduction for HIDC.

With the theme of “Transformation Driven by Good design”, Hebei Industrial Design Innovation Center aims to introduce global high-end innovation resources, popularize advanced design idea, foster high-end design talents, promote the international design exchange, enhance the capability of independent innovation in manufacturing industry and build an integrated service platform for industrial design and development. It will drive the construction of 11 prefecture-level industrial design and innovation centers in the province, promote the coordinated development of Hebei industrial design and push the deep integration of industrial design and manufacturing transformation & upgrading. She also introduced HIDC’S key mission in 2018, so as to attact domestic and foreign industrial design strength come to Hebei.

The 5th SZIDF has been successfully carried out for two days, Hebei was also showing it’s brilliant achievements on the exhibition. We believe Hebei’s first appearance on the fair will inspire more enterprises to stay true to the mission and keep innovating.
