On the morning of November 5th, the 6th Shenzhen International Industrial Design Exhibition (hereinafter referred to as the Exhibition) hosted by the Shenzhen Municipal People's Government and endorsed by the Shenzhen Industrial Design Industry Association was grandly opened at Hall 2 of the Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center.
Nearly 200 people attended the launching ceremony including Yu Xiaodong, deputy director of the Industrial and Information Policy Department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology; Ai Xuefeng, deputy mayor of the Shenzhen Municipal People's Government; Hao Lixiao, deputy director of the Hebei Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology; Hu Xiaoqing, member the party group and vice chairman of the Shenzhen Economic, Trade and Information Technology Committee; and other related leaders of national Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and Shenzhen provinces and cities, as well as Louisa Bochedo, Chairman of World Design Organization (WDO); Ruff Wegman, Global CEO of Germany iF International Design Award; Hart, founder of frog design company and other design experts, business leaders, design brand companies and media representatives at home and abroad.

Shenzhen International Industrial Design Exhibition is the sixth in this year. It has become a shining business card for industrial design in Shenzhen, which is known as the “global industrial design wind vane”. This year's event re-enacted the design wave, gathering hundreds of design masters, with a total of 175 overseas design agencies. Seven international pavillions made a stunning appearance at the Convention and Exhibition Center including the French Design National Pavilion, the Danish Design National Pavilion, the A' Design Grand Prix, the Dutch Design National Pavilion, South Korea Design Promotion Institute, the Italian Design Pavilion, and the American Spark Design Award. Through a series of activities such as exhibitions, forums, new product launches, industry matchingmaking and the selection of Great One awards, this exhibition demonstrates the breadth and depth of the value chain of design innovation industry with a new attitude, empowers design, promotes shenzhen design to be in line with international standards, and seizes the commanding heights of innovation, entrepreneurship and development.
Shirley Feng, executive vice president and secretary general of Shenzhen Industrial Design Industry Association and director of Hebei Industrial Design Innovation Center, delivered a keynote speech "Design Rebirth, harmonious but different"at the Global Design Value Summit. She said : "Design Empowers Energy" is the theme that aims to bring everyone back to the design itself, design power and design value. The next decade will be a decade of values-driven, "design rebirth, harmonious but different", we should return to the original heart of design, let the design penetrate from the industry to everyone in the city.

Three Major Sections Show the Advantages of Hebei Design
Hosted by Hebei Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, Hebei Industrial Design and Innovation Exhibition hosted by Hebei Industrial Design Innovation Center, once again unveiled at the International Exhibition of Shenzhen International Industrial Design Exhibition. The exhibition area gathers nearly 50 exhibits from 22 leading enterprises in the fields of equipment manufacturing, instruments and tools, biological medical treatment, textile and garment, transportation and cultural creativity, etc. Each piece of high-quality works demonstrates the new sharp force of industrial design in Hebei.
Hebei Industrial Design Exhibition is located in the D9-10 booth of the Brand Strategy Exhibition Area, covering an area of 180 square meters. With the theme of “Designing Dialogue Industry”,taking“transforming from a big industrial province to a strong industrial province, with design innovation taking the lead”as the starting point, the pavillion is divided into three sections: “Design Reengineering”, “Designing Intelligence” and “Designing Rebirth”. Through the demonstration of the innovative achievements of the dominant industries, strategic emerging industries and characteristic cultural industries from 20 leading enterprises in Hebei Province, it embodies Hebei's strong industrial foundation and advantages, the fruitful results of design innovation and industrial integration, and the fertile soil that supports the development of industrial design. The exhibition area shows the strong advantages of Hebei industrial design outstanding products, provincial and municipal industrial design innovation center carrier construction and Hebei industrial design development in three forms: physical display + interactive experience + plane communication.

“Design intelligence” exhibition area includes CRRC Tangshan, NII Robot, Intelligent Medical, New Energy Vehicle, etc., which reflects the integration of design and technology in the field of precision industry and intelligent manufacturing in Hebei. For example, the P8, the first new energy product from the Great Wall WEY brand, adopted the self-developed plug-in hybrid system, which can switch driving mode freely while driving.

Inspired by “Design brings Cultural Renaissance”, the “Design Rebirth” exhibition combines inheritance and innovation, shows the revitalization and value reproduction of design innovation in industrial products of Hebei featured culture and traditional handicraft, and expresses the warmth and humanity of design. The traditional Lvling walnuts is upgraded with the "brand + product + marketing" thinking mode to reposition the image of the market consumer products; Chengde Royal full embroidery integrates "Classical and Fashion, Handicraft and luxury" into the product design concept, carrying forward the royal culture and full embroidery culture of Chengde, making the products more valuable in design culture.

In the afternoon, the Hebei Design Innovation Promotion Conference was held as scheduled in the HUB District of Hall 2 of the Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center. The site attracted more than 100 audiences to listen to Hebei design innovation.

Shirley Feng, Director of Hebei Industrial Design Innovation Center, introduced the development of Hebei industrial design with the theme of “Industrial Powerful Province, Design First”, focusing on the good policy environment for Hebei to support industrial design development, and briefly describing the results of the industrial development of various cities and provincial industrial design innovation centers, as well as the functions and advantages of the carrier platforms such as HIDC, QIDC and XIDC.
Zhou Lin, founder of Hebei Top Design, Chen Fengming, founder of Hebei inDare Design Co. Ltd., and Feng Xiao, co-founder of RITO Creative Co., Ltd. respectively shared the entrepreneurial process of Hebei's design enterprises as the representatives of the design institutes settled in Hebei, with the theme of "Top and Hebei Develop Together", "inDare in Hebei", and "The Development of Shenzhen Enterprises in Hebei". When Hebei encountered the sparks and opportunities of design, it was enough to make the design shine and promote industrial transformation and upgrading. 2018 is the first year of vigorous development of industrial design in Hebei Province. The industrial design experience of Hebei Province has gone from enlightenment, awakening to lighting, and the “Management Measures for Special Funds for Industrial Design and Development of Hebei Province” and 9 methods and operating procedures supporting the implementation of “Several Policy Measures" have been implemented successively, and a relatively complete policy system has been formed. The “331” action of Hebei Province's industrial design led by the Hebei Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology has promoted star products, fostered design leaders, and created well-known brands in two years; the Hebei Industrial Design Innovation Center with high standards was put into operation, and nearly 30 domestic and overseas design agencies settled in. The Qinhuangdao Sino-Swiss Design Port was opened in September this year, attracting a group of design companies to settle in the city; Tens of entrepreneurs' industrial design training and a series of design docking activities are being carried out in full swing throughout the province, initially creating a number of typical industrial design applications, and industrial design needs are rapidly expanding. The provinces and cities are linked to each other, and the industrial design development of Hebei Province has been fully launched. The city-level industrial design innovation centers have been established in various cities, and Hebei is using design innovation to reshape the new pattern of industrial development.
