On November 21, the launching ceremony of the 2nd Hebei International Industrial Design Week opened at the main venue of the Xiongan New Area. Chen Gang, member of the Standing Committee of the Hebei Provincial Party Committee, deputy governor, secretary of the Party Committee of Xiongan New Area and director of the Management Committee, presided over the launching ceremony. Wang Jiangping, a member of the Party Leadership Group and Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, Ge Haiyu, Vice Governor of Hebei Province, and David Kusuma, the President-elect of the World Design Organization (WDO), addressed the ceremony.

Charles Hayes, Partner and CEO of IDEO Design, USA; Li Yizhong, Former Minister of Industry and Information Technology, President of China Industrial Economy Association; Zhu Shou, Former President of China Industrial Design Association; Director of China Industrial Design Strategy Advisory Committee, Katja Kleiss, the curator of Handmade in Germany Exhibition, Peter Kuziniki, the chairman of the American Spark Design Award Organizing Committee; Wang Jianhua, the party committee secretary and executive vice president of the China Industry-University-Research Cooperation Promotion Association, etc. attended the launch ceremony. A total of 500 people attended including design masters, design agency leaders, business leaders, leaders of leading enterprises from more than 30 countries and regions around the world and nearly 20 domestic provinces and cities, as well as relevant government departments, associations.

Chen Gang said that Hebei International Industrial Design Week is a great platform for exchanges and cooperation in Hebei to implement new development concepts, promote manufacturing quality improvement, efficiency and transformation and upgrade, and help Xiongan New Area to build a global innovation highland. This year's design week is based on the theme of "Design Power Empowers the City of the Future". Compared with last year, the level of internationalization, professional communication and public participation is more prominent, and the degree of marketization is higher. It is hoped that through the holding of the Hebei International Industrial Design Week, we will introduce first-class design concepts, products, and design brands to bring more resources of science, technology and wisdom to the development of Xiongan New Area. We will work together to create a new height of global design innovation.

Wang Jiangping said that this design week will jointly discuss development trends in the design field, carry out domestic and international design exchanges and cooperation, and be important to implement the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei coordinated development strategy, accelerate the construction of the Xiongan New Area, and promote the innovative development of the design industry. This year's Industrial Design Week will further promote exchanges and cooperation and showcase the excellent design results at home and abroad. I believe that it will definitely further promote the innovative development of industrial design in Hebei Province and Xiongan New Area.

Hebei International Industrial Design Week (hereinafter referred to as "Design Week") is a high-end brand event focused on promoting industrial design exchanges and cooperation in Hebei Province. The first design week last year won the "professional, international, and high-end" evaluation. Highly appraised by all sectors of society, the second design week this year has made new improvements in the scale of activities and guest lineups. This design week is hosted by the People's Government of Hebei Province, hosted by the Hebei Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, the Hebei Xiongan New Area Management Committee, and the Hebei Industrial Design Innovation Center. It focuses on green design, service design and other international design forward-looking concepts and industry development trends. For the first time, the three main activities of the industrial design innovation achievements exhibition, Xiongan Design Forum, and International Design New Product Launch Conference were introduced. At the same time, the Materials and Design Forum, Xiongan Urban furniture forum, service-oriented manufacturing into Xiongan, Bauhaus Caravan China and other third-party high-quality activities were held. It built the latest design release platform, top design dialogue stage, and global design boutiques in Xiong'an with various creative activities. The gathering place brings an annual industrial design feast to Hebei Province. 

Nine leaders of deputy ministers Wang Jiangping, deputy governor Chen Gang, deputy governor Ge Haijiao, David Kusuma, Charles Hayes, Chairman Li Yizhong, Director Zhu Xi, Peter Kuzeniki, Vice President Wang Jianhua came together to launch this design week and had a tour exhibition then.
