On Nov.2, the 8th Shenzhen International Industrial Design Fair was opened at Pavilion 2 of Shenzhen Convention & Exhibition Center. Over 300 innovative design institutions and more than 6700 pieces of design are gathered at the exhibition. It focuses on new Generation Information Technology, wearable equipment, digital economy, intelligent equipment, life and health and other strategic emerging and future industries and other areas of frontier design boutique. Xu Kehua, member of the party group and deputy director of Hebei Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, attended the opening ceremony and inspected and directed the exhibition area of our province before the exhibition.

The Shenzhen International Industrial Design Fair, known as the "No. 1 Global Industrial Design Fair", has been held for eight sessions so far. Since 2017, Hebei has actively participated in the Shenzhen International Industrial Design Fair. 2020 is the fourth time that our province has organized a delegation to participate in the Shenzhen Design Fair. The total area of the exhibition area in our province is 360 square meters. It is divided into three major exhibition areas by the Goldreed Industrial Design Award, the Hebei Industrial Design Boutique Exhibition, and Dingzhou Industrial Design Innovation Achievement Exhibition, gathering more than 80 design boutiques from more than 30 outstanding enterprises in our province and 70 award-winning works of the Goldreed Industrial Design Award tour, showing the new development achievement of industrial design in our province. The new high-privacy and large-capacity longitudinal sleeper EMU that won the Goldreed Supreme Award, an electric car that can drive 100Km for 12 minutes; the ECG monitoring device that can be reported within 15 minutes; and the smart boxing that records punch speed, strength and angle...The charm of the "element" from Hebei design is firmly grasping the audience's curiosity. While increasing the audience's perception of the theme, the rich booth expressiveness makes the exhibition hall crowded.

In this "First Global Industrial Design Exhibition", in addition to setting up the Hebei main exhibition area, the Hebei delegation also debuted the Dingzhou Design Achievement Exhibition Area and the Goldreed Industrial Design Award Tour Exhibition. Hebei industrial design boutique exhibition area is striding towards a community of destiny with multiple designs

In the semi-transparent Hebei industrial design boutique exhibition area, more than 60 design boutiques with the theme of "Future of Design: Towards a Community of Destiny" are divided into four colorful exhibition areas. Through the four major sections of"Symbiosis Era, Shared City, Smart factory and China-Chic Revival”, it focuses on displaying our province’s industrial design highlights products, provincial and municipal industrial design innovation centers, and industrial design development atmosphere in the three forms of “physical objects + interactive experience + planes”, and strive to explore the diversity of design. A brave attempt in the context, depicting Hebei's confidence to link industry and the future of the city with design. By displaying excellent products with a variety of design practices, it will enhance people's perception of the current political, economic, and cultural irregularities, and reshape people's confidence in globalization while alleviating the anxiety of the times.

The “Symbiosis Era” exhibition area is based on the changes in people’s lifestyles and attention to health care after the death of the new crown era in 2020, focusing on the innovative achievements of Hebei’s smart medical and protective design, showing that Hebei Manufacturing actively responds to crisis events of the times and connect high-quality material enterprises for trade representatives. The Qinhuangdao Sino-Swedish Design Port, jointly initiated by the Qinhuangdao Municipal People’s Government and the Shenzhen Industrial Design Profession Association, as the engine of Qinhuangdao’s implantation of industrial design to promote transformation and upgrading, opened the innovation engine and embarked on the road of transformation. Through the organizational mechanism- The four major paths of atmosphere creation-docking industry-carrier construction have effectively and progressively promoted the development of industrial design in the city. This year, Qinhuangdao's design innovations made a major debut in this area. Qinhuangdao Kangan Technology brought the 2020 German iF Product Design Award ASC Smart Temperature-a medical-grade split body temperature monitoring and early warning device. It changes the traditional heart examination method. It is portable, wearable, and easy to operate. It can check the ECG anytime and anywhere, and connect to the mobile phone via Bluetooth, and the data is transmitted to the ECG doctor in real time. At the same time, this ECG also has many humanized functions such as chest pain center search, ECG evaluation, emergency telephone reminder, etc.

The "Shared City" exhibition area focuses on solutions for new cities and future human settlements, focusing on the thinking and exploration of Hebei Province in creative design and urban construction, showing the important role of design in influencing and leading urban construction under the changing times. Great Wall Motors in the exhibition area brought the new energy vehicle Euler Goodcat, which was newly released in November. It was personally designed by former Porsche designer Emmon Delta and adopted the design concept of "retro-futurism". Equipped with a three-in-one integrated electric drive, with stronger power, lighter battery, and more power storage capacity, it can travel 100Km in 12 minutes with a comprehensive cruising range of 501km; the design of the BLANCE GO balance car brought by Hebei Riyi Technology Inspired by the Pokemon Ball in Pokemon, it has a very recognizable personality. The product uses light colors and numbers to interact, abandoning the cold sense of technology, starting from the applicable people, using simple, cute and interesting design language to give the balance car a new feeling.

Based on the development advantages of Hebei's manufacturing province, the "Smart Factory" exhibition area showcases the province's active promotion of the transformation and upgrading of enterprises from "manufacturing" to "intelligent manufacturing" in the past two years, focusing on the supporting capabilities and core competitiveness of regional industries and the continuous leap forward in terms of brand capabilities. Hebei Shengzhi Industrial Design Co., Ltd. and Hebei Tieniu Bicycle created a children's twisted bicycle with an order of 100,000 units in ten days. Shengzhi brought a brand new children's tricycle designed for Tieniu on this exhibition. It adopts the inverted triangle method, the body structure is stable, prevents side tilt, the overall shape is rounded, and the wheels are all-inclusive design without any sharp corners. The body color adopts the popular macaron and Morandi color matching, and the lighting design is added, which increases the safety guarantee, and provides a safer environment for children during visual and actual use; Hebei Shangchuang Innovation Industrial Product Design Co., Ltd. brought the water quality analyzer designed for Hebei Derun Houtian Instrument Manufacturing Co., Ltd. It adopts a modular design method. According to man-machine operation habits, the functions of condensation, reduction, electrical and reagents are divided into four modules, which is easy to operate. The product has functions such as batch detection, automatic addition of reagents, automatic heating and digestion, automatic cleaning, automatic titration and automatic detection summary data report. It solves the efficiency, safety, space and other issues of manual testing, and improves the development of the industry and the new user experience.

The "China Chic Rrevival" exhibition area focuses on the current young people's confidence in local culture, focusing on the application of new materials, new crafts, new technologies, and new designs in cultural and creative products, showing that Hebei Province's determination in supporting domestic brands and tapping cultural products with regional characteristics. In this exhibition area, Tangshan World Garden Development Investment Co., Ltd. combines traditional shadow puppet art with the IP image of Nanhu Shadow Play Park to design the cultural and creative product shadow rabbit. It uses traditional shadow puppet production methods and replaces traditional donkey skin with paper materials, which is environmental protection and low carbon. Incorporating cartoon and animation images, it is simple to assembly and operate, with a stronger sense of interaction and participation. While promoting traditional shadow puppet culture, it spreads the brand value of the scenic spot; Hebei Yeweishang New Technology Materials Co., Ltd. uses pure natural leaves as raw materials to create a series of leaf lamps. The patented technology allows the leaves to show natural leaf textures while maintaining a complete natural shape. At the same time, the toughness of the material is upgraded, that is, it is waterproof and not easily damaged, forming a new material cultural and creative product that is both fashionable and creative.

On November 3, Hebei design delegation composed of representatives from the Department of Industry and Information Technology of Hebei Province, Shijiazhuang, Chengde, Zhangjiakou, Qinhuangdao, Tangshan, Langfang, Baoding and other relevant government departments and enterprises in 12 cities, went to Shenzhen Han's Laser Research visits to innovative enterprises in Shenzhen such as Shenzhen Skyworth-RGB Electronics Co., Ltd., Shenzhen Youbican Technology Co., Ltd., and Shenzhen Vannes Classic Home Furnishing Co., Ltd. to investigate the development of international advanced and innovative enterprises in the post-epidemic era, learn from advanced design management experience, attach importance to the important role of industrial design as a driving force for innovation, and explore how to help companies achieve design innovation in special periods, and then complete the transformation and upgrading of industries in various regions.

During the one-day study and inspection, the Hebei design delegation visited and learned how advanced manufacturing enterprises successfully innovated and developed into a well-known brand in my country through industrial design, and opened up the industrial chain of design, research and development, and production, forming an industry that combines design and manufacturing brand development and operating experience.

The world structure in 2020 is being challenged by more and more crises. The vulnerability exposed by the global value chain prompts people to reflect on themselves more clearly, think carefully, and more accurately revise their development direction.
