On the afternoon of December 24, under the leadership of Xu Shucheng, Director of Tangshan Industry and Information Technology Bureau, and Li Yumei, Director of Planning and Technology Division, the design delegation came to CRRC Tangshan Locomotive and Rolling Stock Co., Ltd. to witness the birth of China's speed.

As a national-level enterprise technology center and a national-level industrial design center, CRRC Tangshan has never stopped its pace of innovation. In the factory, the new generation of trains has moved off the production line and entered the commissioning stage. Unlike the previous high-speed trains, the new trains have different degrees of innovation in styling and interior decoration, and every detail reflects the charm of industrial design. The ergonomic principle of the seat, the change of light and darkness, the tilt angle of the luggage rack, and the humanized design give the cold steel structure a warmer feeling. In addition to design improvements, they also apply virtual reality technology to the train development process, such as applying virtual driving to find the driver's most comfortable operating mode and the widest range of viewing angles to ensure train safety. Facing the future, CRRC Tangshan is making continuous strides toward an international green, intelligent and humanistic integrated transportation solution provider.

During the visit, Director Shirley Feng praised CRRC Tangshan’s significant contribution to the development of China’s transportation, and hoped to see more design elements on Chinese trains in the future, allowing the perfect combination of technology and design to create a great nation.

" Director Shirley Feng believes that CRRC Tangshan Company has design thinking, Chinese characteristics and world vision. Under the great opportunity to vigorously develop Xiongan New Area, she hopes to establish a carrier cooperation relationship with CRRC Tangshan, and jointly establish a design center to jointly promote the coordinated development of Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei. After decades of deep ploughing industrial design in Shenzhen, Director Shirley Feng clearly realized that the construction of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area was a major opportunity for enterprises throughout the country. She hoped to achieve regional cooperation with CRRC Tangshan in the future, apply CRRC Tangshan products to Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, and enable the development of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei.

Tangshan Industrial Design Innovation Center was established on a cultural site

On December 25, under the leadership of Zhang Zhenguo, Deputy Director of Tangshan City Bureau of Industry and Information Technology, and Li Yumei, Director of Planning and Technology Division, the design delegation visited and investigated Tangshan Industrial Design Innovation Center, Monopy Porcelain Industry and Hitech New Energy. They discussed with relevant persons in charge for the development direction of industrial design in the future.

With the mottled walls and rusty cement kiln pipes, the design delegation, guided by members of the operation team of the Tangshan Industrial Design Innovation Center, experienced the century of vicissitudes of modern Chinese industry. As an industrial site completely preserved after the Tangshan earthquake in 1976, the entire park has a profound sense of history. Tangshan Industrial Design Innovation Center relies on Tangshan's strong industrial foundation, takes the promotion of industrial supply-side structural reform as its central task, optimizes the industrial design development environment, gathers top design resources at home and abroad, uses industrial design as a new driving force to drive the transformation and upgrading of traditional industries in Tangshan, and focuses on enhancing the competitiveness and influence of characteristic industries.

A design company based in Taiyuan, Shanxi, was attracted by Tangshan's favorable industrial design policy and moved the company to Tangshan to settle in the Tangshan Industrial Design Innovation Center. Director Shirley Feng said that she hopes they can give full play to their advantages, use Tangshan's strong industrial foundation to help improve their abilities, practice and learn more, and promote Tangshan's industrial transformation and upgrading.

After the visit, the director of Tangshan Industrial Design Industrial Park Xiang Junjie gave a detailed explanation on the status of the entire park, and introduced that Tangshan Industrial Design Innovation Center is cultivating and introducing high-end design talents, comprehensively improving design innovation capabilities and service levels, and forming a strong development system that is effectively driven by the government, market and enterprise. They are focusing on the front-end industrial design of high-end equipment manufacturing, taking into account various design industries such as smart design and commercial design, and accelerating the agglomeration, innovation and upgrading of innovative design industries.

Monopy Porcelain Industry not only increased investment in technology, but also took design innovation as a powerful driving force for corporate development. Monopy Ceramic Museum is a comprehensive exhibition hall for its design and development achievements. After visiting the museum, Director Shirley Feng praised Monopy as a caring enterprise. Du Tianyi, general manager of Hebei Yunbo Industrial Design Co., Ltd. believes that the museum is a good way to show the development of ceramics. It use storytelling to let the brand culture penetrate into the hearts of the people.

After the visit, the design delegation and related persons in charge of Monopy held a design seminar. At the meeting, the design and development headquarters of Monopy Porcelain in Shanghai were connected to introduce the design concept of Yilai Sanitary Ware.

After listening to the explanation from the Shanghai design and R&D staff, Director Shirley Feng appreciates the strong brand culture shaping and hopes to further cooperate with Monopy Porcelain in the future, which is mainly reflected in three aspects. The first is to use the design resources of Hebei Industrial Design Innovation Center to promote the renewal and iteration of Monopy brand products; the second is to let Monopy Porcelain join the Xiongan construction team, and help Xiongan New Area build a city of design innovation with the company's strong design thinking; the third is to start brand strategic cooperation, make use of global design resources to enhance core competitiveness and make brand culture deeply rooted in the hearts of the people.

The last stop is Haitai Xinneng in Yutian County, Tangshan. Haitai New Energy in accordance with the ecological design, intelligent manufacturing, green factory design concept, built a highly automated production line. In addition, while actively developing high-efficiency products with scientific research institutions, the company vigorously develops innovation work, has a number of independent patented technologies, and has provincial enterprise technology centers and provincial engineering laboratories.

Under the leadership of Haitai Xinneng Chairman Wang Yong, the design team came to the production workshop, and the dustless ground and worktable were called the cleanest industrial workshop by designers. Chairman Wang Yong said Haitai Xin can adhere to the use of high-tech, low energy consumption of fully automated equipment, providing a reliable guarantee for the manufacturing of high-quality products.

During the design discussion session, Chairman Wang Yong said that although Hitech New Energy is currently in the international leading ranks, the company wants to open up a broader market through the power of industrial design, not just satisfied with the reputation in the industry.

Director Shirley Feng believes that Hitech New Energy can develop from the current TO B to TO C, which can effectively expand the product market. The expansion of the user base requires Hitech to increase investment in product design so that photovoltaic panels can also be presented in an artistic way. Finally, Director Shirley Feng said that design is the source of innovation, the starting point of the value chain, and the vision of a better life for people is inseparable from design. The development of an enterprise also requires the assistance of design.
