On the trip of Finnish design innovation last year, Hebei Industrial Design Innovation Center and Helsinki Design Week signed the "Finland-Hebei Industrial Design Cooperation Memorandum". The two parties will jointly build the Hebei Sino-Finnish Design Park and introduce Finnish design resources for Hebei's industrial design development. Based on the design and industrial development advantages of both parties, we will cooperate with each other in design and manufacturing resources complementation, product import and export, etc., to promote the transformation and upgrading of industries in Finland and Hebei。 Also, we will promote the seamless connection of design resources between the two parties through regular professional exchanges and design project cooperation research.
During this trip to Finland, Shao Jianhua, Deputy Director of the Hebei Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, and delegation members went to Helsinki City Hall. They had discussion and exchanged ideas with Helsinki Economic Development Bureau representatives on promoting business and innovation development cooperation between the two places, which will further develop the industry and design innovation business cooperation between Hebei and Helsinki.
At the meeting, Zheng Qiongfang, China Affairs Director of the International Affairs Department of the Helsinki Economic Development Agency, delivered a welcome speech; Kalle Toivonen, a senior expert on innovation and digitalization in Helsinki, introduced the innovation and digital development of Helsinki; Wang Xin, Senior business consultant of Finnish Capital Economic Development Agency, introduced HBH investment and business services. Wang Xin said that the Finnish government welcomes foreign companies to carry out business cooperation and entrepreneurship in Helsinki, and provide international investors and companies investing in Helsinki with services such as corporate docking, financing, and talent reserve. Among them, Internet and communications services, smart and clean energy, and life Science and health are the key industries introduced by the Helsinki City Government, which are highly compatible with Hebei's advantageous industrial development. Helsinki Design Week
Appreciate the charm of the largest design festival in Northern Europe
Helsinki Design Week was founded in 2005 and is the largest design event in Northern Europe, held every September. The theme of Helsinki Design Week 2019 is "Learning the Climate". The main activity is the "Erotaya 2" series of activities. Erotaya 2 is one of the main venues of Helsinki Week, where various exciting exhibitions and events will be held.
In the past fifteen years, Helsinki Design Week has never forgotten to integrate design with the urban environment. The members of the delegation stated that industrial development is important, as is the protection of the environment. The old path of unsustainable development can no longer be taken. It is now in Hebei Province. In an important stage of industrial upgrading and transformation, manufacturing companies must lead by example and protect the environment in which we live together.

Comrade Shao Jianhua said that the industrial structure of Hebei Province has been continuously optimized. Automobiles, electrical machinery and equipment, and special equipment have become the main forces driving the development of the equipment industry. He hopes that the two parties can further develop cooperation in the future for mutual benefit and win-win results.
Finnish Design Museum
Internationally-recognized national professional design museum
The Finnish Design Museum was established in 1873. The exhibits in the museum were looted by enemy forces during World War II. In 1978, the Finnish government re-established the Design Museum in a building in the center of Helsinki. The Finnish Design Museum is one of the earliest museums related to visual design in the world. The museum has a collection of more than 75,000 design objects, 45,000 paintings and 125,000 photos.
The curator of the Finnish Design Museum, Mr. Yuka Savorlain personally received Gao Heping, Deputy Mayor of Handan Municipal People's Government, Shirley Feng, Director of Hebei Industrial Design Center, and other delegation members. He explained the exhibits collected by the Finnish Design Museum.

ISKU
Finland's largest furniture company
ISKU was founded in 1928 and is Finland’s largest furniture company. It has several ISKU centers in Finland and Europe. Its office and public furniture are mainly used in schools, office buildings, public spaces and other places. The members of the delegation and the head of ISKU negotiated on assisting the ISKU brand to enter and expand the Chinese market and promote mutual understanding. We hope to form a strategic partnership to introduce ISKU, a Nordic design brand into China, and realize localized production in the future.

ED Design

At the second stop of the Nordic trip, the Hebei design delegation came to Sweden, known as the “global manufacturing power, one of the world’s most automobile-savvy countries, and a major design country”, to communicate and connect with Swedish innovative companies and design institutions. The delegation explored the high-end development experience of the integration between Swedish manufacturing and design, and sought business opportunities for cooperation between Hebei enterprises and Swedish enterprises and design agencies.
Volvo

The Volvo Car Museum is located by the sea in Gothenburg, Sweden’s second largest city. It is a must-see attraction in Gothenburg. Sightseeing in it is like traveling through time and space. The Volvo Automobile Museum exhibits all the models from Volvo's first "Jacob OV4" produced in 1927 to the latest design models. In addition to cars, Volvo's concept cars, buses, trucks and even aircraft engines are also displayed.
The delegation members came to Volvo Test Drive Center. Vice President Magnus Olsson of Volvo Group introduced Volvo's global business layout and business development in China. The delegation members personally tested Volvo's latest full range of train models; , Accompanied by Liu Ying, Director of Government Affairs of Volvo Cars Asia-Pacific Region, the delegation visited the Volvo Museum. The R&D and design core link of Volvo and Geely
CEVT is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Zhejiang Geely Holding Group. The group's subordinate car brands include Geely, Volvo Cars, Lynk & Co, Parkstar, Proton and Lotus Motors; it also owns commercial vehicle brands including London electric cars and long-range commercial vehicles.
The members of the delegation came to CVET to visit and learn. Wei Gangxian, Vice President of CEVT, Geely Europe Innovation Center Chief Commander, and Mikael, CEVT Innovation Strategy and Concept Leader respectively introduced the overall business situation and innovation experience of CEVT. The members of the delegation visited the new Lynk & Co model based on the CMA architecture jointly created by Geely Automobile and Volvo Cars, and experienced its latest model VR activities to learn about advanced automobile R&D technology and design concepts.
Mandaworks Architects
International design studio
Mandaworks is a progressive and modern design studio engaged in architecture, landscape architecture, urban design and comprehensive planning. The Stockholm-based studio was established in 2010 and is owned and operated by partners Martin Arfalk and Patrick Verhoeven. Mandaworks is currently committed to achieving a diverse portfolio of projects in Sweden and abroad, including public spaces, landscapes and master plans. In recent years, Mandaworks has been vigorously pioneering innovative cooperation projects in China. Among them, it is well-known to rebuild Shenzhen Dameisha Seaside Park. At the same time, they also cooperate with domestic universities to provide internships and job opportunities for students.
The members of the delegation and the staff of Mandaworks discussed smart city planning, smart sustainable ecological city design and other related topics, hoping to introduce the urban design and advanced architectural design of Mandaworks into Hebei, and build a beautiful Hebei with the power of design.
With major opportunities such as the coordinated development of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei, the construction of the Xiongan New Area, and Beijing's cooperation with Zhangjiakou to host the 2022 Winter Olympics, Hebei's industry will continue to insist on industrial transformation and upgrading. Industrial design has just started in Hebei, and the industrial design market has great demand and great development potential. Finland and Sweden are the birthplaces of Nordic design. This time the Hebei design delegation went to Finland and Sweden for investigation and research, which was carried out by design agencies and companies in Hebei and the two countries. The new chapter of cooperation is conducive to accelerating the transformation and upgrading of Hebei's industry and building an innovative development system, which expresses Hebei's determination to accelerate industrial transformation and upgrading, and promote the accelerated transformation of "Hebei Manufacturing" to "Hebei Creation" under the guidance of industrial design Confidence and determination.
