Inspired by the melting ice in Lapland in northern Finland, Tapio Wirkkala created the Ultima Thule series in a remote hut in Lapland in the 1960s. The small Ultima Thule glass bowls commonly called "caviar bowls" were previously only sold to Finnair business class customers. It's perfect for serving caviar, spreads, salt or as a butter dish.
