Aalto Vase
Aalto Vase is the most representative classic homeware by designer Aalto. It is also called Savoy Vase because it was designed for Savoy, a restaurant in Helsinki, Finland. The work is arguably one of the representative works of Nordic organic design. The designer used the skirt of Eskimo women as creative inspiration and the product was awarded the first prize in the Karhula-Iittala Glass Design Competition in 1936.
