2019 is a year of fruitful development of industrial design in Hebei Province. Through more than one year of industrial design atmosphere building action and creating typical design project demonstration cases, Hebei manufacturing enterprises have greatly improved their understanding and application of industrial design. Municipal committees and governments in various places have profoundly grasped that industrial design is an effective means for enterprise innovation and upgrading, and introduced a series of industrial design incentives to build a design carrier platform. On March 30, 2018, with the support of the Cangzhou Industry and Information Technology Bureau, the Hebei Industrial Design Innovation Center organized the eighth industrial design lecture to fully popularize Cangzhou enterprises' industrial design awareness and its role in industrial transformation and upgrading. The key driving role is to set up a typical demonstration case to contribute to the transformation of "Made in Hebei" to "Created in Hebei".

On the morning of April 27, 2019, under the guidance of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of Hebei Province, hosted by Renqiu Municipal Party Committee and Renqiu Municipal People's Government, organized by Renqiu Commercial and Industrial Information Bureau and Hebei Industrial Design Innovation Center, endorsed by Shenzhen Industrial Design Profession Association, the 31st Design Lecture was held at Renqiu Qingfeng International Hotel. At the scene, more than 200 people from the leadership of the Qiuqiu city government, representatives of manufacturing enterprises and design institutions attended the meeting.

On March 24 this year, Hebei Industrial Design Innovation Center led a number of design institutions to Renqiu for the first time to conduct an industrial survey, inspect electric tricycles, motorcycles and communication equipment, and understand the design of enterprise development, product design and research demand.

On the afternoon of April 27th, the 55th “Design × Manufacturing” Industry Matchmaking Conference hosted by Yan Shi, Operation Director of Hebei Industrial Design and Innovation Center was held in Peony Hall of Qingfeng International Hotel. More than forty people from ten design agencies attended. The design agency and the industrialists conducted preliminary exchanges and discussions. The manufacturing company raised the dilemma and expectations of future industrial development. The representatives of the design agency answered questions and doubts about the business problems, combed the design ideas, and invited each other convey on-site investigation.

At present, Renqiu's industrial development is completed in scale, with a basically formed system, a diversified industry, a strong and powerful industry structure with abundant resources. Petrochemical industry, aluminum building materials, motorcycle and parts manufacturing, petroleum drilling equipment manufacturing, communication equipment and power equipment, the new material industry (glass fiber products industry) and new energy industry (heating furnace industry) are the seven leading industries, becoming important petrochemical bases in the country. The production base and the largest chain wheel production base in the country have become one of the 29 characteristic industrial clusters in Hebei Province and an important part of the transportation equipment manufacturing. However, the development of enterprises is mainly small and medium-sized, products lack brand value, lack of talent introduction, and weak corporate innovation capabilities. Under the multiple pressures of cruel competition, environment, technology and talent costs, industrial design is infused with new blood to lead industrial transformation upgrade.

Renqiu can be expected in the future. We sincerely hope that through this lecture, we can introduce design institutions to cooperate with Renqiu industry, and emerge design innovation cooperation demonstration cases. On the occasion of the second anniversary of HIDC next year, the industrial cooperation project of Ren Qiu will come to fruition and bring a great gift to Hebei Design.
